Nutrisystem sells weight management programs through the Internet, telephone, and direct-to-consumer sales and distribution methods. Initially, NutriSystem only provided weight loss consultations and a small range of products but later transformed into a comprehensive weight loss meal plan health management company. In 2009, it began collaborating with the membership warehouse club Costco. In 2012, it partnered with the grocery retailer Kroger to offer breakfast services. In 2013, it collaborated with Walmart to provide a 5-day Jumpstart weight loss meal plan. In 2015, NutriSystem acquired South Beach Diet, a company offering weight loss healthy meal plans, becoming the owner of the brand. Currently, NutriSystem assists women, men, and seniors in the United States with weight and health management through multiple weight loss brands.
