Conformal Medical will conduct a pivotal trial of its novel CLAAS® technology in the United States, a next-generation solution designed to seal the left atrial appendage in patients with atrial fibrillation. The CLAAS system utilizes a proprietary foam-based architecture, designed to accommodate most anatomies with just two sizes, simplifying the delivery process and eliminating the need for procedural transesophageal echocardiography (TEE), allowing physicians to perform left atrial appendage closure (LAAC) without general anesthesia.
