Antios Therapeutics is a clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company focused on developing innovative therapies to treat and cure viral diseases. Its lead candidate, ATI-2173 – the only active site polymerase inhibitor nucleotide (ASPIN) in clinical development – has the potential to become a cornerstone of chronic HBV treatment regimens if approved. To date, extensive preclinical work and Phase 1 studies have been completed in healthy volunteers and HBV-infected individuals. A Phase 2a study of ATI-2173 in HBV-infected patients and HBV/Hepatitis Delta Virus (HDV) co-infected patients is currently ongoing.
