Synoste Founded in 2012, Synoste is dedicated to developing novel patient-friendly medical solutions for the treatment of skeletal deformities. The Synoste team believes that traditional methods for treating bone deformities are extremely painful for patients and prone to inflammation and misalignment. Therefore, utilizing smart materials, wireless energy transfer, and mechanical design, Synoste has invented a method to treat bone deformities without the need for external fixation braces or skin-penetrating components. During surgery, doctors implant a metal-made intramedullary nail into the patient’s bone cavity and provide the patient with a set of home care equipment. This device transmits energy wirelessly to the implanted intramedullary nail. The implantable pump, made of nickel-titanium, contracts when heated, enabling controlled and prolonged operation of the device.
