Raydiant Oximetry is a clinical-stage medical device company dedicated to improving the health of women and newborns. Founded by pediatric anesthesiologist Neil Ray, MD, through training, the company aims to address the widespread issue of medically unnecessary cesarean sections, which can have both short-term and long-term impacts on mothers and children. The company has developed an innovative technology called LUMERAH™, the world's first non-invasive fetal oximeter, which is also a low-cost, non-invasive sensor designed to monitor fetal oxygenation during labor in order to improve outcomes for both mothers and babies at birth. It seeks to better identify fetal distress and reduce the rate of medically unnecessary cesarean sections. LUMERAH is an investigational medical device and is not yet approved for commercial sale.
