Basic Information

Beijing Surgerii Technology Co., Ltd., founded by Professor Xu Kai of Shanghai Jiao Tong University, is a high-tech startup company in the field of surgical robotics with core independent intellectual property rights. After returning from his studies at Columbia University in the United States, Professor Xu Kai developed the innovative design of the "Dual Continuum Mechanism" through independent research at Shanghai Jiao Tong University. This innovation overcame the original reliability and performance obstacles of continuum mechanism technology and led to the development of the SURS single-port laparoscopic surgical robot prototype, which features the smallest abdominal incision internationally and ranks among the top in overall performance worldwide. Through the implementation of Shanghai Jiao Tong University's "Independent Transformation of Scientific and Technological Achievements" policy, Beijing Surgerii acquired this core technology, the "Dual Continuum Mechanism," and obtained patent authorization in both China and the United States. Based on this foundation, the company has developed a series of key technologies and core components, entering the full industrialization phase. Relying on the core technology of a new generation of flexible continuum robotic arms that span multiple clinical minimally invasive surgical paradigms, and leveraging its robust system design and integration capabilities, Beijing Surgerii aims to become a high-tech enterprise capable of independently developing, producing, and selling third-generation minimally invasive surgical robot systems. With one system, it seeks to enable the application of both single-port and multi-port laparoscopic procedures across various departments, providing hospitals with a comprehensive solution for fully intelligent surgery covering "preoperative planning - intraoperative operation - postoperative management." Ultimately, the company aspires to continuously advance the cause of human health.
