Basic Information
Shanghai MicroPort CardioFlow Medtech Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "MicroPort CardioFlow") was established in 2015 in the Zhangjiang High-Tech Park in Shanghai, as one of the holding subsidiaries of Shanghai MicroPort Medical (Group) Co., Ltd. MicroPort CardioFlow is a high-tech medical device company that focuses on the research and development, manufacturing, sales, and related technical consulting services of high-end interventional medical devices in the field of heart valves. The VitaFlow® Transcatheter Aortic Valve System, independently developed by MicroPort CardioFlow, was approved for marketing by the National Medical Products Administration on July 10, 2019, and the first implantation after its market launch was completed at Zhongshan Hospital Affiliated with Fudan University in Shanghai on August 28, 2019. Meanwhile, the company's second-generation retrievable transcatheter aortic valve system, VitaFlow, has also begun domestic clinical trials in China. The VitaFlow® valve system consists of an aortic valve, delivery system, loading tool, balloon-expandable catheter for the valve, and catheter sheath kit. The aortic valve is the first self-expanding bovine pericardial bioprosthetic valve approved for marketing in China. Its innovative double-layer "skirt" design effectively reduces postoperative paravalvular leakage; the hybrid-density mesh nitinol stent allows the valve to effectively push open calcified leaflets and demonstrates excellent coaxial and positioning performance during deployment. Additionally, the large mesh design reserves space for interventional treatment of the coronary arteries.
