CAS Investment

CAS Investment Management Co., Ltd. ("CAS Investment") is a professional investment management company controlled by the Asset Management Company of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, with participation from the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council and an employee stock ownership company. Its predecessor was the Foundation for Promoting Economic Development through Science and Technology of the State Economic Commission and the Chinese Academy of Sciences, established in 1987. In 1993, following national policies regulating foundations, the China Science and Technology Promotion Economic Investment Company was established. In 2006, it was restructured into a limited liability company and renamed to its current title.
