TIBEAY Biosciences is a clinical biotechnology company focused on innovative therapies for acute neurological disorders. TIBEAY is developing a drug to address a previously unmet challenge, such as traumatic brain injury (TBI), which is caused by severe accidents and is one of the most common causes of death globally, potentially leading to long-term disability. It is estimated that there are approximately 50 million new cases worldwide each year, with about ten percent classified as severe. In Europe alone, there are around 1.5 million hospitalizations annually. For those affected and their families, this often means lifelong limitations, with significantly impaired quality of life and independence. To date, there are no approved drugs specifically targeting the progressive damage caused by severe TBI.
