Afimetoran established early clinical proof-of-concept in a Phase 1b clinical trial for cutaneous lupus erythematosus (CLE) and received Fast Track designation from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) in May 2025 for the treatment of systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE). A Phase 2 study for SLE is ongoing, with completion expected in the second half of 2026, after which Beeline Medicines plans to initiate its pivotal development program.
