Globally, there are 3 million people with chronic spinal cord injuries, 80 million with chronic stroke, and 200 million with AMD. AMD is an eye condition that worsens over time and is the leading cause of severe and permanent vision loss in individuals over 60 years old. The company maintains close collaborations with several top research institutions in the U.S. and Hong Kong (HK), which conduct fundamental research, product development, and preclinical (animal) studies on these diseases. Since 2016, discoveries from these institutions have been transferred, validated, and commercialized by MonoTx Hong Kong.
