Cortexyme

Cortexyme is a clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company pioneering a new disease-modifying treatment approach targeting what we believe to be a key underlying cause of Alzheimer’s disease and other degenerative conditions. Cortexyme's goal is to target a specific pathogen found in the brains of Alzheimer’s patients, which has been shown to cause neurodegeneration and other pathological changes in animal models. Cortexyme’s lead small molecule, atuzaginstat (COR388), has completed Phase Ib and is currently the subject of the Phase 2/3 GAIN clinical trial in patients with mild to moderate Alzheimer’s disease.
