Basic Information

ABLi Therapeutics Develops Small Molecule Therapies for Diseases Caused by Abelson Tyrosine Kinase (c-Abl) Activation or DysfunctionABLi Therapeutics develops small molecule therapies for diseases caused by the activation or dysfunction of Abelson tyrosine kinase (c-Abl), based on innovative medicinal chemistry and a deep understanding of disease biology. Leveraging its expertise in drug design, ABLi utilizes clinically validated kinase inhibitor data to design and develop novel drug candidates with enhanced brain penetrance, higher potency and target selectivity, and improved safety profiles for treating diseases associated with c-Abl activation or dysfunction. The company’s core focus is on developing innovative therapies for neurodegenerative diseases, including PD and related conditions such as MSA and Dementia with Lewy Bodies (DLB), all of which are linked to c-Abl activation or dysregulation.Risvodetinib, its lead compound, is a highly potent and selective small molecule non-receptor type c-Abl kinase inhibitor administered orally once daily, targeting the underlying biological mechanisms driving the onset and progression of PD. Research suggests that risvodetinib has the potential to halt disease progression and reverse functional losses caused by PD both inside and outside the brain, positioning it as a promising disease-modifying therapy.
