IOPtima is a developer of minimally invasive surgical equipment for ophthalmology. The company's leading product, IOPtiMate™, is a surgical system used for glaucoma treatment. It significantly reduces intraocular pressure (IOP) by restoring the natural infiltration of fluids without penetrating the eye, utilizing CO2 laser technology. To address unmet needs and common safety concerns in glaucoma surgery, the company has developed a procedure called CLASS (CO2 Laser-Assisted Sclerectomy Surgery). By leveraging the unique properties of CO2 laser, IOPtiMate ablates and thins the scleral wall in a simple, highly controlled, and specific manner within the normal ocular drainage area (Schlemm’s canal region).
