Basic Information

In March 2007, Fitbit was founded in San Francisco and, together with Jawbone (which has since been liquidated), was considered a pioneer and benchmark company in the field of wearable devices. Fitbit developed an ultra-small wireless wearable sensor called the Fitbit Tracker, which automatically tracks data related to users' activities, such as calorie consumption, sleep quality, steps taken, and distance covered. Fitbit collects activity data from users wearing the device and wirelessly uploads it to a website where users can view their data and track progress toward their personal goals. In terms of obesity prevention, Fitbit leverages its wearable devices to actively develop related services. In September 2019, Fitbit launched a new coaching and fitness guidance subscription service called Fitbit Premium. For $10 per month or $80 annually, users receive comprehensive, personalized fitness plans based on their fitness data.Additionally, Fitbit introduced the smart scale Fitbit Aria Air, priced at $50 for the basic model, which measures weight and BMI. Users can connect the smart scale to an application to easily access health metrics and share health data with doctors and family members to obtain more complete and scientific weight loss plans.
