Gearbox Biosciences is developing a novel production strain for industrial recombinant protein manufacturing. The Pop-Out-Plasmid™ technology is its state-of-the-art *E. coli* expression system. In the Pop-Out-Plasmid™ technology, the target gene is integrated into the host chromosome in a single-copy form, ensuring stable maintenance during the biomass growth phase at 30°C. At the desired time, the production phase can be initiated by temporarily raising the culture temperature to 37°C.
