Editact

Editact was founded in 2023, leveraging years of scientific research accumulation and academic achievement transformation from the National Key Laboratory of Neurodegenerative Diseases at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology and the Hong Kong Center for Neurodegenerative Diseases. Targeting the unmet clinical need of Familial Alzheimer's Disease (FAD), Editact has pioneered the development of a "one-to-many" gene-editing therapy, which holds the potential to become a clinical treatment that cures FAD at its root, benefiting millions of patients worldwide. Additionally, in May 2024, with the support of the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, the company successfully received funding from the first batch of RAISe+ "Industry-Academia-Research 1+" program by the Hong Kong Innovation and Technology Commission.
