Bio-Manguinhos

Bio-Manguinhos, established in 1976, plays an outstanding role on the international stage by exporting its surplus products to more than 70 countries not only through United Nations agencies. Since 2001, the institute’s yellow fever vaccine has been prequalified by the World Health Organization (WHO) for supply to other countries. Joint initiatives are not limited to providing vaccines for international immunization programs but also include exchanges of experience and information, technical and scientific activities, partnerships, and cooperation.
