Amporin Pharmaceuticals AG is an emerging novel biotechnology start-up founded in 2024 in Basel by a small group of highly experienced pharmaceutical development professionals. We are developing a groundbreaking new small-molecule drug capable of protecting and repairing cell membranes, as the first oral disease-modifying therapy to halt and reverse the progression of 50 fatal degenerative diseases associated with protein misfolding and aggregation. These diseases affect over 500 million people annually, cause 3.6 million deaths, and incur total costs of $3 trillion per year. Each of our founders has over 20 years of industry experience leading the discovery and development of neuroscience drugs. Our vision is to cure six degenerative diseases with a single pill, starting with Parkinson's disease and amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS).
