LG Corp

LG Corp is a multinational corporate group headquartered in Seoul, South Korea. Its main business areas include electronics and communication technology, home appliances, and chemicals. The group owns 81 affiliated companies, 130 overseas local legal entities, and employs 213,000 people. It has been the creator of many "firsts" in the history of South Korean enterprise development, including: establishing Korea's first chemical industrial company, "Lucky Chemical Industrial Co.," and launching its first cosmetic brand, "Lucky Snow Cream"; being the first to enter the plastics industry; founding Korea’s first electronic industrial company, "Goldstar Co."; producing Korea's first radio, refrigerator, television, washing machine, and other home appliances; being the first to recruit outstanding university graduates publicly; being the first among South Korean conglomerates to implement public disclosure of corporate information; being the first among South Korean conglomerates to use an English name; and being the first to adopt a holding company system, among others.
