And it is a Level IV Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, caring for the smallest and sickest newborns, giving them not just a chance to survive, but to live normal, productive, and happy lives. It is the nurses delivering exceptional care to every patient, every time, earning Magnet status — the highest recognition in the nursing field. It is the educators from our six health profession colleges teaching the next generation of doctors, nurses, and other healthcare professionals, spreading the highest standards of care into the future. It is researchers working to discover treatments and cures that have not yet even been imagined. It is a network of partnerships and outreach locations across the state, ensuring world-class care is always close to home.
