OBIO®

Ontario Bioscience Innovation Organization (OBIO®), established in 2009, is a non-profit membership-based organization engaged in strategy, planning, policy development, and advocacy to further the commercialization of human health science companies in Ontario, positioning Ontario as a leader in international markets. OBIO® advances this goal through partnerships with industry, investment communities, academia, patients, and government. OBIO® leads the Ontario Bioscience Economic Strategy Team (OBEST)® in developing a province-wide strategic vision to address key issues such as access to capital, capacity/personnel, innovation adoption, market acceptance, and exports. The OBEST strategy serves as an evolving catalyst guided by the priorities identified by OBIO members. OBEST touches all services provided by OBIO® to support a sustainable health science sector that creates jobs, attracts expertise, and improves health outcomes while building a prosperous economy in Ontario and Canada.
