SpikImm is a clinical-stage biotechnology company headquartered in Paris, founded in 2021 by Truffle Capital and the Pasteur Institute. It is dedicated to developing monoclonal antibodies (mAbs) for the prevention of severe viral infections in transplant patients. Transplant patients receiving immunosuppressive therapy to prevent rejection are highly vulnerable to viral infections and often respond poorly to vaccines. When exposed to viruses such as SARS-CoV-2 and BK virus (BKV), kidney transplant patients and hematopoietic stem cell transplant patients face a high risk of developing severe forms of these infections and related complications. To address this significant unmet need, SpikImm is currently developing a unique portfolio of long-acting human monoclonal antibodies targeting various viruses. These monoclonal antibodies will provide transplant patients with broad, immediate, and lasting protection, improving transplant outcomes, patient prognosis, and quality of life.
