Huaxia Eye Hospital Group Co., Ltd. is a large ophthalmic medical chain group in China, with over 50 professional medical institutions established across multiple provinces and cities in China. The group's headquarters, Xiamen Eye Center affiliated with Xiamen University, was founded in 1997. It is a national key clinical specialty (ophthalmology) construction unit and a tertiary grade A eye hospital, equipped with a postdoctoral research workstation and an academician expert workstation.Huaxia Eye respects experts and knowledge, widely attracting medical talents. Currently, there are only five academicians of the International Academy of Ophthalmology in mainland China, two of whom work at Huaxia Eye: Professor Li Xiaoxin, the General President of Xiamen Eye Center, and Professor Zhao Kanxing, the Chairman of the Expert Committee of Huaxia Eye Hospital Group.Adhering to the concept of balanced development in medical treatment, teaching, and research, Huaxia Eye has built a national consultation platform for difficult eye diseases at its Wuyuan branch in the headquarters. It has also established the Ophthalmology Research Institute of Huaxia Eye Hospital Group, undertaking nearly 200 projects, including the 863 Program, 973 Program, National Key Research Plan, National Natural Science Foundation, National Outstanding Youth Fund, Postdoctoral Science Fund, Foreign Expert Introduction Program, and provincial and municipal projects. The group is also committed to cultivating top ophthalmology elites through a series of development platforms such as two academies, two institutes, three bases, three stations, and cooperative colleges. It has successively launched the "Tomorrow Star Program for Chinese Ophthalmologists" and the "Elite Talent Training Program for Chinese Ophthalmologists," promoting the construction of national physicians and nurturing future leaders in ophthalmology.
