Cipher Surgical

Cipher Surgical was founded in 2010 with the goal of improving the efficiency and safety of minimally invasive surgery by developing and commercializing products that maintain an unobstructed surgical view. The OpClear platform, launched in 2013, uses cutting-edge intelligent CO2 flow to protect laparoscopic lenses from condensation and particulates, while on-demand CO2 and saline lens cleaning removes visual obstructions, allowing surgeries to continue with minimal interruption. Cipher Surgical focuses heavily on R&D, dedicating 35% of its annual expenditure to this area. Projects include clinical studies to validate the impact of the OpClear platform on patient outcomes. This work enables physicians and hospitals to make evidence-based decisions. Our aim is to establish in situ lens cleaning as the standard of care by scientifically demonstrating its true value to healthcare systems worldwide.
