MxT Biotech, a spin-off from Korea University, is a startup focused on developing transformative microfluidic platforms for cell engineering and genome editing.MxT Biotech's product, Hydroporator, is a next-generation microfluidic cell engineering platform designed to accelerate the discovery, development, and manufacturing of novel cell therapies.Hydroporator is used to efficiently deliver external cargoes such as plasmid DNA, mRNA, proteins, CRISPR-Cas9 RNP, and nanoparticles into primary cells. The Hydroporator technology achieves high delivery efficiency, ease of operation, low cost, high scalability, minimal cell perturbation (i.e., preservation of cell function and viability), and cargo/cell type-insensitive delivery. By overcoming the challenges associated with viral transduction, lipofection, and electroporation, Hydroporator paves a new way for accelerating cancer immunotherapy, cell engineering, and genome editing.
