Copeland Clinical Ai (C2-Ai) was originally founded in 2008 by Stephen Mackenney as Crab Clinical Informatics, with the assistance of long-time colleague Graham Copeland. Graham Copeland is the designer of the POSSUM surgical audit system, a world-renowned method for evaluating clinical performance based on the expected outcomes of surgical patients. After more than 30 years of research, Copeland Clinical Ai has developed, tested, and validated a unique clinical artificial intelligence (AI) support system that helps hospitals and healthcare systems around the world significantly reduce avoidable harm, mortality, and costs. By accurately risk-adjusting each patient, the Copeland Clinical Ai system provides hospitals with 90% more harm identification capability than their existing systems, identifying which hospitals and specialists are performing well, which hospitals have issues with mortality and complications, the causes and economic impacts, and how to address these problems and prevent future harm.
