Vasa Therapeutics is a private biopharmaceutical company dedicated to developing therapies targeting the pathophysiology of cardiovascular aging. VS-041 is the first potential personalized medicine-based treatment for high-frequency heart failure. In preclinical HFpEF models, VS-041 demonstrated a significant reduction in cardiac fibrosis and inhibited the release of signaling collagen fragments (such as PRO-C6), which mediate fibro-inflammatory responses and serve as biomarkers for poor prognosis in HFpEF patients. The Phase 1 clinical trial of VS-041 is planned for the second quarter of 2024.
