RCT Logic develops and licenses clinical trial designs for trials sponsored by industry, nonprofit entities, and the government in the United States. SPCD is an alternative method for conducting well-controlled clinical trials that significantly reduces the impact of any placebo effect on trial outcomes, enabling PPD's clients to substantially reduce the time and cost of conducting clinical trials. Due to its fundamental structure, SPCD reduces the number of patients required for a given trial by 20% to 40%. This not only decreases the cost and time required to conduct the trial but also eliminates some factors that make the results more difficult to interpret.
