Leapfrog Group

Leapfrog Group, established by large employers and other purchasers in 2000, is a national non-profit organization dedicated to driving giant leaps forward in patient safety. The flagship Leapfrog Hospital Survey and the new Leapfrog Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) Survey collect and transparently report on the performance of hospitals and ASCs, empowering purchasers to find the highest-value healthcare services and providing consumers with life-saving information needed to make informed decisions. Another major initiative of Leapfrog, the Leapfrog Hospital Safety Grade, assigns letter grades to hospitals based on their patient safety records, helping consumers protect themselves and their families from errors, injuries, accidents, and infections.
