Sepset Biosciences

Sepset Biosciences, Inc., established in 2016, is dedicated to the research and development of sepsis diagnostics and is a subsidiary of Asep Medical Holdings Inc., a Canadian publicly listed company. Its first-generation technology platform and reagent, SepsetER, offers rapid detection (only 1 hour required) with more accurate results. When used in conjunction with the traditional SOFA score, it can predict and diagnose the likelihood of severe sepsis in patients at least 24 hours earlier in emergency departments and intensive care units (ICU), assisting doctors in making timely critical care intervention decisions and appropriate treatment strategies. The second-generation technology platform, SepsetME, currently under development, can further evaluate the underlying mechanisms of sepsis and help doctors formulate more precise treatment plans based on these pathogenic mechanisms.
