Symbionics

Symbionics focuses on the development of flexible brain-computer interface devices. Chief Scientist Xiaochuan Dai and CTO Teng Gao of the Symbionics team have been deeply engaged in the field of flexible neural electrodes for many years. They are pioneers of neuromorphic electrodes, laying a solid foundation for key underlying technologies in brain-computer interfaces. Under the mentorship of Charles M. Lieber, a pioneer in the global nanomaterials and bioelectronics fields, a four-academician, and professor at Harvard University, the two scientists returned to China and established independent laboratories at Tsinghua University and the Chinese Academy of Sciences respectively, concentrating on the continuous research, development, and translation of brain-computer interface technology for brain science research and clinical applications.
