Stent Tek

Stent Tek is a medical device company specializing in endovascular solutions. The company is developing an entirely new catheter system aimed at helping the 2.8 million patients worldwide with kidney failure undergo dialysis treatment more safely and effectively. The disposable ePATH AVF system is the first minimally invasive device to use a synthetic connection tube (covered stent) to create a vascular access fistula near the wrist of hemodialysis patients. Currently, about 50% of surgically created fistulas in the lower arm fail within the first year, necessitating multiple costly corrective surgeries to maintain functionality. Stent Tek's goal is to reduce the physical and financial burden on both patients and the healthcare system.
