Basic Information
SurvivingBreastCancer.org (SBC) was founded in 2017 to help fill the gaps in breast cancer support, education, and resources. The website was created by Laura Carfang, who was diagnosed with breast cancer in her early 30s, and since then, it has grown exponentially to serve members of the global breast cancer community. Over the past few years, the SBC website has been visited by community members from over 120 countries (with more than 1,000,000 page views), and Laura's podcast, "Breast Cancer Conversations," has been listened to in more than 80 countries. The SBC website has been translated into Spanish, French, Italian, and Arabic. SBC serves as an educational and virtual community platform that supports patients and their families and meets them at the time of their cancer diagnosis. We combine evidence-based medical research with the personal experiences of those we serve. From risk-reduction strategies and prevention, to treatment, survivorship, late-stage diagnosis, end-of-life care, and beyond, "Surviving Breast Cancer" is here to help you every step of the way.
