Orezone Gold Corporation is developing the Bomboré gold project in Burkina Faso, a major gold-producing country. The project hosts a large oxide resource underlain by higher-grade sulphide resources, which remain open for expansion. In 2019, Orezone released a positive feasibility study on Bomboré, outlining a robust project producing 1.6 million ounces over a mine life of more than 13 years, with an after-tax NPV5% of US$361 million, an internal rate of return of 43.8%, and a payback period of 2.5 years at US$1,300 per ounce Au. The company plans to develop Bomboré in two phases to reduce initial capital expenditure requirements. The company’s board of directors and management team possess extensive experience in mine development and operations and are significant shareholders of Orezone.
