Evecxia's mission is to help patients suffering from debilitating neuropsychiatric disorders with currently inadequate treatment options. Evecxia is the first company dedicated to realizing the therapeutic potential of amplifying serotonin synthesis for brain disorders. Evecxia utilizes 5-hydroxytryptophan (5-HTP), a natural serotonin precursor, through proprietary drug delivery technology to achieve sustained amplification of serotonin synthesis. Evecxia has two Phase 2 clinical candidates under development. EVX-101 is being developed as an adjunctive treatment for when first-line SSRI/SNRI antidepressants alone are insufficient to treat depression.
