CiMaas

CiMaas is a spin-off company from Maastricht University Medical Center, established in 2015. CiMaas is an immunooncology cell therapy biotech company developing safe and effective cancer treatments. Having its own manufacturing (GMP) facility is particularly beneficial for implementing cell therapies during early clinical development. CiMaas is a pioneer in NK cell therapy. It has developed a proprietary manufacturing process for the rapid expansion of NK cells. Its innovative process harvests a small number of leukocytes from healthy donors obtained from peripheral blood and generates the required quantity of NK cells for patient treatment with unparalleled speed while maintaining the desired phenotype and functionality. CiMaas’s lead product is naked NK cells targeting acute myeloid leukemia, and for solid tumors, it is developing CAR-NK cells.
