Basic Information
Enterin, Inc. is the world's first company to develop a novel drug that can repair gut-brain axis dysfunction in patients with neurodegenerative diseases. Enterin, Inc. is advancing the medical community’s understanding of the connection between infections, dysfunction of the enteric nervous system, and the early onset and chronic progression of neurodegenerative diseases. The lead compound, ENT-01, displaces α-synuclein (αS) aggregates bound to neuronal cell membranes in the enteric nervous system in preclinical models of Parkinson's disease, improving neural signaling between the gut and the brain. Enterin, Inc. is now advancing the development of ENT-01 through clinical trials aimed at reversing constipation associated with Parkinson's disease.
