Biem claims to be "the world's first virtual sexual health service," designed to help people deepen their understanding of sexually transmitted diseases (STDs), whether it pertains to testing or discussing the topic with sexual partners. Biem offers video chats with sexual healthcare providers, enabling you to test at home and receive your sexual health results via your phone. STD tests provided by Biem can be completed in a lab or, for an additional $45, at home. Either way, results are sent directly to your phone. Currently, its monitoring services cover seven of the eight most common STDs in the U.S., including HIV, syphilis, gonorrhea, chlamydia, trichomoniasis, herpes simplex virus type 2, and hepatitis A, B, and C.
