Basic Information
Penta is an international independent scientific network dedicated to children's health. Through our research, training programs, and collaborations in the field of pediatric infectious diseases, we aim to improve the lives of women and children, regardless of where they live. Established in 1991, Penta was founded to conduct independent clinical trials of antiretroviral therapy for children with AIDS. To date, Penta's research portfolio also includes other pediatric infectious diseases such as hepatitis, tuberculosis, fungal infections, sepsis, as well as infections during pregnancy and emerging or neglected childhood infections.
