Spindle Biotech Inc. was founded in 2017 and has developed a proprietary RNA polymerase that, when used in conjunction with specially chemically modified IVT templates, can produce high-quality and high-yield mRNA while significantly reducing dsRNA impurities. In March 2022, Spindle Biotech Inc. and Applied DNA entered into a collaboration research agreement to pursue a simple and effective method for mRNA production, offering advantages over the traditional plasmid DNA approach.
