Mira Pharmaceuticals, Inc., formerly known as MIRA1a Therapeutics, is a preclinical-stage pharmaceutical company focused on the development and commercialization of novel synthetic THC (tetrahydrocannabinol) analogs for the treatment of anxiety and cognitive decline in adult patients typically associated with early-stage dementia. MIRA 1a is being developed as the first prescription drug targeting the CB1 (cannabinoid type 1) and CB2 (cannabinoid type 2) receptors for the treatment of chronic pain and anxiety, without the impurities of cannabis or its side effects, such as increased appetite and paranoia.
