Ballad Health

Ballad Health is a comprehensive community health improvement organization serving 29 counties in the Appalachian Highlands across Northeast Tennessee, Southwest Virginia, Northwest North Carolina, and Southeast Kentucky. Our system includes 21 hospitals, post-acute care and behavioral health services, as well as a large multispecialty physician group practice, working closely with an active independent medical community and community stakeholders to improve the health and well-being of nearly one million people. By taking the lead in adopting value-based payment models, addressing social needs related to health, funding clinical and health system research, and committing to long-term investments in the health of children and families in our region, Ballad Health is striving to become a national model for rural health and healthcare.
