Upfront Diagnostics: A Cambridge, UK-based healthcare company focused on discovering novel biomarkers applicable to medical diagnostics. Upfront Diagnostics has developed a rapid point-of-care blood test to help caregivers and other community health professionals identify strokes when individuals present symptoms or are in the community (post-discharge). It can detect strokes caused by large vessel occlusion (LVO) within 15 minutes, enabling patients to be quickly directed to specialized stroke centers for treatment where rapid imaging and surgical intervention can save lives and reduce the severity of disability.
