Health Information Alliance

Health Information Alliance was founded in 1992. Headquartered in Pennsylvania, with an office in Florida, it serves clients across China. In 1989, Pennsylvania passed a law—the Pennsylvania Health Care Cost Containment Act. This law requires all inpatient hospitals in the state with more than 100 beds to report certain key clinical findings related to disease severity and cost, initially focusing on outcomes and costs for 32 disease groups. HIA quickly became the largest provider of these services.
