The founder, Dr. Xie Liangzhi, pioneered the stoichiometric control-based fed-batch culture process for animal cells during his Ph.D. studies at MIT. In 1994, he increased antibody yields from 50 mg/L to a leading level of 2,400 mg/L, laying a crucial foundation for the scaled production of antibody drugs. After returning to China in 2002, he led several national "863 Program" projects and major special topics under the "New Drug Creation" initiative. He led the team in building a world-class biopharmaceutical R&D and industrialization technology platform, breaking through a series of key technologies and overcoming the complex production processes of recombinant Factor VIII, long-acting interferon-β, and 14-valent HPV vaccines. Dr. Wang Yang, Vice General Manager of the company, has over 20 years of experience in vaccine and antibody drug R&D and project management. He has led quality analysis and standard-setting work for cervical cancer vaccines and is an internationally renowned expert in biopharmaceutical quality control.The company conducted its Initial Public Offering (IPO) and was listed on the STAR Market of the Shanghai Stock Exchange on June 22, 2020.
