Addgene

Addgene is a non-profit global plasmid information repository responsible for storing and providing plasmids. When scientists publish articles involving plasmids, they send a copy to Addgene for preservation. Other scientists who need the plasmid can request it from Addgene. In the past, Chinese scientists had to contact Addgene's U.S. headquarters to purchase its products, which made payment and customs clearance relatively complicated. To address this, Addgene has designated Beijing Zhongyuan Company as its distributor in China to provide better services to Chinese scientists.
