Implantica is a medical technology group dedicated to bringing technological innovation into the human body. The company's lead product, RefluxStop™, is a passively CE-marked implant designed to prevent gastroesophageal reflux. RefluxStop™ features a completely different design concept compared to existing surgical treatments for gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) and has demonstrated excellent results in its CE-mark clinical study. The company believes that RefluxStop™, as supported by clinical trial outcomes, has the potential to drive a paradigm shift in anti-reflux surgery. Implantica focuses on two therapeutic areas: urology and gastrointestinal surgery. Its priority products include: AppetiteControl™, a novel implant for treating obesity by controlling appetite; UriControl®, a remotely controlled implant for treating male and female urinary incontinence; and UriRestor®, a remote-controlled device enabling patients unable to urinate (such as those with spinal cord injuries or multiple sclerosis) to urinate on demand using a wireless platform.
