Basic Information

SENISCA is an RNA therapy spin-off from the University of Exeter, established in 2020. The company is developing proprietary technology designed to "reverse" the aging clock in old cells. SENISCA has identified a key component of the cellular senescence response that can be targeted in the context of various pharmacological and aesthetic indications. The company has developed oligonucleotide and small molecule interventions to manipulate cellular senescence in the context of age-related diseases and aesthetic aging, and is building a new range of interventions that can be explored and commercialized through collaboration or co-development models and customized according to clinical needs. SENISCA currently has multiple oligonucleotide and small molecule candidates targeting its novel mechanism and has completed evaluations of cell regeneration in human primary cell models across nine different cell types. The company has commenced ex vivo studies and expects to release a pre-IND package in 2024.
