Viscient Bio

Viscient Biosciences is an early-stage biotechnology company developing novel therapies for NASH and other liver diseases. Its lead compound, based on a new target identified in proprietary 3D models of human liver disease, is expected to enter clinical trials in 2024. Viscient's 3D model for NASH has demonstrated a high correlation with patient clinical outcomes, showing fibrosis reduction for compounds that exhibit this effect in humans, while also revealing a lack of fibrosis reduction in compounds that failed in Phase 2 or 3 NASH trials. The gene expression in Viscient’s models also correlates well with patient disease samples.
